Gamma Benzene Hexachloride & Cetrimide is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Treatment of scabies in patients who cannot tolerate or have failed first line therapies
Wounds
Contagious and itchy human head infection
Infection of cuts
Grazes
Insect bites
Minor burns
Gamma Benzene Hexachloride & Cetrimide may also be used for purposes not listed here.
The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur in medicines that contain Gamma Benzene Hexachloride & Cetrimide. This is not a comprehensive list. Gamma Benzene Hexachloride & Cetrimide improves the patient's condition by performing the following functions:
Being directly absorbed into the parasites and their ova to kill them.
Preventing infection caused by bacteria.
Before using Gamma Benzene Hexachloride & Cetrimide, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Abrupt withdrawal from alcohol or sedatives
Avoid contact with mucous membrane & eyes
Avoid contact with the eyes
Avoid use in body cavities
Breastfeeding
Concomitant use of medications known to lower seizure threshold
Do not use it for extended periods of time
Excessive use of alcohol
For topical use only
History of head trauma or seizure
